"Amerikaanse Kalkbranderij"
4 Lime kilns near Voerendaal (NL). Built by the brothers Senden around 1916 and production came already to an end around 1919. This because of the import of cheap lime from Belgium. The brothers have been visiting the USA and they were impressed by everything they experienced there. That's why they chose the name "Amerikaanse kalkbranderij" (American lime kiln). The front is bricked in the local Kunrader stone a very hard type of lime stone.
