Coal mine Wujek
Coal mine Wujek - in english it means coal mine Uncle.
Katowice.
Two main pitheads - Lechai and Krakus, on right, brhind the crop there are two another pitheads - for material and ventilation. This is well know colliery in Poland - in 1981 there were big strikes over the Poland and there on this coal mine area, were fights with militia and militia used weapon. Shot to death 9 miners during the fights. This concrete cross is part of memorial for these victims.
