Onderzeebootloods RDM Rotterdam
Submarine sheds from the former shipbuilder Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM) in Rotterdam-Heiplaat (NL). RDM was an important shipbuilding yard founded in 1902 that has been closed down after some take-overs in 1996. The oldest shed in the middle has been built in 1928/1929. The small one at the right dates from 1938 and the biggest one at the left from 1946. In total 16 submarines have been constructed in these sheds.
Now the RDM-site is campus for teaching activities and for firms with the focus on sustainability. There are also art exhibitions from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
