Eagle Butte Mine, Wyoming, 2002-07-02
Dies ist die Eagle Butte Mine der RAG Coal West Inc., eine der zehn gr??ten Kohlebergwerke in den USA. In der Bildmitte l??t ein LeTourneau L-1800, seinerzeit der Welt gr??ter Radlader, gerade 45 t Kohle (eine Schaufel voll) in die Mulde eines Riesen-Kippers fallen. Der Kohlefl?z, der sehr sch?n sichtbar ist, hat in dieser Mine eine M?chtigkeit von ?ber 30 m!

This is the Eagle Butte Mine of RAG Coal West Inc., one of the top ten coal mines in the US. In the center of the photo a LeTourneau L-1800, the world's largest wheel loader at the time of the picture, just dumps 45 tonnes of coal (that's one shovel full) into a giant dump truck. The coal seam, which is nicely visible in the photograph, measures 123 ft at this mine!
