Borgo Pirelli
Borgo Pirelli (Pirelli village) is one of the most interesting survived piece of Milano industrial age.
Pirelli is the world famous Italian tyre company, founded in 1872. The factory of Milano-Bicocca was the biggest tyre plant of the country, active from 1907 to 1985. Then, the 700.000 square-metres wide area was reconverted into a new piece of public city (university, offices, houses). The beautiful workers settlement was not included in the transformation, and, even if it's going to decay, today you can see it as it was, without any kind of alteration.
