Coal Power Plant
SNIA Viscosa - former viscose/nylon factory near Milano.
Power plant I was built in 1924, active since 1980. It was equipped with three boilers and as much turbines. Coal was loaded by using a mobile conveyor belt, then with cranes over an internal railway track. In the late 30 it was joined by a larger power plant (visible in the background). Together they were able to supply enough power for both the factory and towns and villages around.
