Werkspoor-Stork Amsterdam
The "Van Gendthallen", "Hallen van Stork" or "Werkspoorhallen" formed an important part of the Werkspoor-Stork factory (former "Nederlandse Fabriek van Werktuigen en Spoorwegmaterieel") at Oostenburg in Amsterdam (NL). The five connected halls were built in various phases at the end of the 19th century. The design is from A.L. van Gendt. The halls were built in response to an order of 40 locomotives and 400 wagons from South Africa that made the factory necessary to expand.
They are a listed monument and now the site is in use for cultural activities and small businesses.
