Madonna of Ostrava

Madonna of Ostrava by Jan Obšil (1908-1983).

This extraordinary painting (200x100 cm) was finished in 1941 and reflects the social/religious aspect of Moravian-Silesian region, which completely disappeared shortly after the war due to nationalisation and communist transformation of my country.
