Concrete Temple
This cement plant is one of the oldes and most beautiful in Italy. It's near Bergamo, in a valley called Seriana, the valley of cement works since 1800. This one is from 1885.
The most amazing thing is the kind of process completely different from the classical ones: the factory is a unic huge building with many floors inside. On the top there are a lot of "railways" that you can see in the shots. The "raw material" ones is the huge bridge with arches that goes to the 6 ovens.
Built originally by F.lli Pesenti company was sold to Italcementi group before the 2WW. It was closed at the beginning of 70s.
This kind of industrial architecture is something that must be preserved!
