Chevalement de la descenderie
Méthamis browncoal mines had a long history and known several successive owners since the 16th century. In 1943, the « Platrières du Vaucluse» digs this incline to explore the western field of the coal deposit.
The exploitation, realized in very difficult conditions, continued until 1958. The entrance of the angled shaft was situated under the shed on the left.
