At the site from the former earthenware factory Sphinx in Maastricht (NL). The factory was founded in 1853 by Petrus Regout and was in the beginning famous for its household pottery; from 1969 the pottery production came to an end. It was the start of the production of sanitary ware. This production in Maastricht ended around 2010. The site is now being developed into a new urban district.
