N.V. Electro Chemische Industrie (ECI)
Chemical industry in Roermond (NL) that produced per-sulphates for the soap and food industry. But the complex has a rich history as paper mill (Burghoff, Magnée & Co.) and wool mill. The mills have been taken over in 1918 by a group for producing potato products. In 1926 N.V. Noury en Van der Lande from Deventer became the owner and started the N.V. Electro Chemische Industrie (ECI). The production ended in 1974.
The water in front is a branch of the river Roer that leads to the hydro-electric power station of the plant and after renovation this station is still in operation.
