Bedwas Colliery, 1966
A recent scan from my slide archives. I don't think that I particularly chose this location for the colliery in the background, but with hindsight, it is a fine example of an industrial landscape.
Bedwas was a large colliery in the Rhymney Valley between Newport and Caerphilly. The size of the waste tips gives some indication of its output.
