Located in La Ricamarie (Loire), the shaft was sinked from 1937 to 1950. The headgear was build in 1950. The place was used firstly for the extraction of the coal till 1971, then for dewatering until 1983. The construction with prestressed concrete has allowed this shape of vertical tower, without lateral reinforcements nor oblique supports.
