The end is near ....

Bridge at Briegden (B) across the Albertkanaal. The superstructure of the bridge dates back to 1947. Because of bigger ships the canal already has been broaden and now all the original small bridges will be replaced. All bridges will have a minimal height of 9.10 m and a width of 86 m. The works has been started by cleaning the bushes so now the full construction of the bridge can be seen. After the new steel bridge has been constructed on a nearby site this bridge will be demolished in 2012.
