Oil store
Traditional oil storage cans at the Leawood Pump near Cromford. A working Cornish type beam engine which pumps water from the River Derwent into the Cromford Canal.
M.R. = Midland Railway; this company was absorbed into the London Midland and Scottish Railway in 1923, but I think the cans are still in use.
