Mushroom columns
|
Main entrance -constructed in reinforced concrete- to a former complex from the Fabrique Nationale (FN). FN is an arms and motor industry that has been established in 1889 in Herstal (B). As can be seen on the centre column, the site is now in use as a multi-tenant building for small companies.
The use of mushroom columns makes it possible to design a construction with columns and floors without needing beams.
