N.V. Oliefabrieken Insulinde
During WWI (1913) the oil factory Insulinde has expanded into a multinational that was producing and was worldwide trading in coconut oil originating from the Dutch East Indies. Coconut oil is used in the production of margarine. But already in the twenties of last century the whole business fails (1922). This building is the only left-over from the complex in the Eastern Port of Amsterdam (NL). It has been build in 1919 as an office annex residence.
