Former starch factory that has been build in 1895 by the family Honig. The family Honig (="Honey") is of German origin and in their family arms there is depicted a beehive so they named their factory "De Bijenkorf" (=Beehive). In later years Honig was active in the production of all kind of foods. In 1978 it has been taken over by CSM and in 2001 by Heinz.
