View of the boiler house facade with part of cooling tower on right. The first power plant in Lodz was running between 1907 - 2000. It was the main electricity source for city with well developed textile industry. Since 1953 the Lodz power plant was rebuild into combined heat and power plant. The production was terminated in 2000 and the objects were revitalised. Now it's a Science and Technology Centre called as "EC1" (the polish name of no.1 CHP plant).
