Speicherstadt Hamburg
Hamburg harbour area with its huge storage buildings erected in the beginning of 20th century. Most of them are still used for storage purpose, mainly carpets from Asia. The buildings are endangered by the constantly sinking water level, which causes the wooden fundaments to get in contact with oxygen and thus slowly rot away.
