Elektrownia Rybnik | The Rybnik power plant

The two cooling towers with 550 - hectares Rybnik lake (Zalew Rybnicki) are a main parts of cooling system in this power station. The towers are 120 metres tall. The chessboard were painted in 2014 and it's a part of daily signage for aviation. That plant has 8 units with total power output around 1775 megawatts and it's the biggest power plant in Silesia. Now it's a part of Polish Energy Group (Polska Grupa Energetyczna - PGE).
