Stadbroekermolen in Sittard

Built in 1582 on the Molenbeek in Sittard (NL). In 1583 this mill was put into operation as a bark and grinding mill for the tanneries. In 1699 the Stadbroekermolen also served as an oil mill and later, after the ban was lifted during the French period, also as a grain mill. In 1907 permission was given to replace the water wheel with a turbine with grinding device, supplied by the firm Schneider, Jacquet & Cie in Königshofen.In 1955 sold to the municipality and since 1967 a listed monument.
