Cementificio Guffanti
Rotary kilns inside a former cement plant in northern Italy.

Founded in 1886 by Giacinto Guffanti, the factory was taken over by Italcementi company in 1921. Some production capacities: 167 tons/year in 1939, 100 tons/year in 1941, 40 tons/year in 1944, 55 tons/year in 1951. After the rebuilt in the late 40s, this unit employed 250 workers and produced Portland 500-680 and pozzolan cement "Mare". Cement production ceased at the end of 70s, while grind operations continued until a few years ago.
