GM Lansing Car Assembly, oder Verlinden Plant. Hier wurden seit 1920 Autos hergestellt. Zun?chst zur Durant Motor Co. geh?rend, wurde das Werk 1935 nach der gro?en Depression von General Motors gekauft. Das Werk wurde als Lansing's Fisher Body Plant bekannt und wurde sp?ter in Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac Plant umbenannt. Als Lansing Car Assembly wurde es im May 2005 stillgelegt, und vor ein paar Wochen wurde die Entscheidung getroffen, das komplette Werk abzureissen.
Der Wagen im Vordergrund ist ein Plymouth Fury (leider kein GM Produkt).
GM Lansing Car Assembly, also called Verlinden Plant. Cars were produced since 1920 at this site. It started as Durant Motor Co., in 1935 after the great depression the plant was bought by General Motors. It became known as Lansing's Fisher Body Plant and was later renamed to Buick-Oldsmobile-Cadillac Plant. Now called GM Lansing Car Assembly, the plant was shut down in May of 2005, and a few weeks ago it was decided that it will be completely demolished.
The car in the foreground is a Plymouth Fury (unfortunately not a GM product).
