Former coal-mine "La houillère des Xhawirs". Opencast mining started here at the end of the 16th century . In 1837 Société anonyme de Herve-Wergifosse got the concession. In 1926 the exploitation has been taken over by the Société anonyme des Charbonnages de Wérister. In 1960 there were working 700 person in the mine. In 1969 the mine has been closed down. Herve (B)
Today a part of the complex is in use by industries. A lot of it has been demolished.
