Board room at Yxhult
|
Yxhult AB, founded in 1879, was a Swedish company specialized in building materials. In the beginning, the main products were marble and lime stone. In 1928 the company pioneered the usage of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (porenbeton) under the product name Ytong. Yxhult reached its peak during the 60's. Later, a stagnant market with the addition of a health scare (Ytong contained traces of uranium) meant the company was doomed. Yxhult went bankrupt in 2004. The spectacular office in Hällabrottet has been left as is since.
